According to the SANA agency, authorities after a car chase destroyed two of three suspected car bombs at the Airport Road Roundabout in Damascus, while the third car bomb was surrounded in the Bab Touma area where the suicide bomber detonated it, killing at least eight people and injuring a number of civilians. In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that at 6:15 am on 02 July, terrorist organziaitons sent three car bombs with the aim of detonating them in safe neighborhoods in Damascus, but the authorities detected and pursued them to prevent them from reaching their targets, managing to destroy two of the cars at the roundabout area. Un’esplosione è stata sentita nelle vicinanze della strada al-Motahalik al-Janobi, una delle più grandi arterie della Siria, a sud di Damasco.
